BGB recovers 238 bottles of liquor at Netrokona border

NETROKONA, May 16, 2025 (BSS) - The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has recovered 238 bottles of Indian liquor from the border area under Durgapur upazila here.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of BGB personnel from BGB-31, comprising seven members, conducted a raid along the bank of the Someshwari River at Durgapur around 10 pm on Thursday and recovered the liquor, according to a press release issued today.

The BGB personnel also recovered a boat in an abandoned state.
The seized contraband items and the boat were handed over to the Department of Narcotics Control, added the press release.
