Porcupine released into Madhutila Eco Park in Sherpur

SHERPUR, May 16, 2025 (BSS) - The Forest Department today released a Porcupine rescued from a locality under Nalitabari upazila of the district into the Madhutila Eco Park.

The wild animal was earlier rescued by Forest Department from Uttar Katabari area of ??Pauragaon Union of the same upazila .

In this regard, Madhutila Range Officer Md Dewan Ali said that this species is protected according to Schedule-1 of the Wildlife (Conservation and Protection) Act, 2012. 

So, the animal has been rescued and released into a safe forest, he added.
