CHITTAGONG, May 17, 2025 (BSS) - A one-and-a-half-year old boy drowned in a pond at at Dholoinagar village under Raozan upazila of the district this morning.
The deceased was identified as Arphon Shill, son Badal Shill, a resident of Dholoinagar village at Gohira union in Raozan upazila.
According to locals, the child was playing near the pond adjacent to their residence around 8am when he accidentally fell into the water.
Family members and locals quickly rescued him in an unconscious state and rushed to the Raozan Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.
