CHANDPUR, May 18, 2025 (BSS) - At least three drug peddlers were arrested along with drugs following a separate operation conducted by the joint forces at the district town, and Maishadi area under Sadar upazila here last night.

The arrestees were identified as Saddam Khan, 30, Mamun Mal, 38 and M Babul, 68.

Members of Chandpur Sadar Army Camp and Sadar Model police station conducted a joint operation at Hazi Mahsin road in Chandpur town and Maishadi union under Sadar upzila at 10pm, said Operational Officer of Chandpur Sadar Army Camp Lieutenant Jabid Hasan.

During the drive, the joint forces recovered 15 pieces of yaba from the possession of Saddam and Mamun and 10 bottles of phensidyl, a mobile phone and Taka 3,760 cash from Babul from another drive.

The recovered illegal goods and arrestees have been handed over to Chandpur Sadar Model police station for taking further legal action.
