Preparatory meeting on Eid-Ul-Azha held in Jamalpur

JAMALPUR, May 18, 2025 (BSS)- A preparatory meeting on upcoming Eid-Ul-Azha was held at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner’s office today.

Deputy Commissioner, Hasina Begum presided over the meeting.

The participants at the meeting discussed on various issues including save transportation of the sacrificial animals, ensuring security to the buyers and sellers of cattle and setting up currency detecting machine in cattle markets. 

In the meeting,   the participants opined to hold the main Eid congregation at central Eidgah field in the town at 8 am. In case of inclement weather, the main Jamaat will be held at Model mosque at 8:30 am.

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Iftekhar Eunus conducted the meeting.
Representative of police, various government officers, journalists, leaders of transport owners association, workers association and Imams were present at the meeting.
