Woman killed as branch falls on her in Gaibandha

GAIBANDHA, MAY 18, 2025 (BSS) - A woman was killed as a giant branch of a tree fell on her at Peerpal Bazar under Gobindaganj upazila in the district this evening. 

The deceased was identified as Shapla Begum, wife of Khoka Miah at Peerpal village of the upazila.

Locals said when Shapla was selling tea under a banyan tree, a giant branch of the tree fell on her, leaving her dead on the spot.
