CRF Forms New 15-Member Committee

CHATTOGRAM, May 31, 2025 (BSS) - A new 15-member committee of Chattogram Reporters Forum (CRF) has been formed. The organization's founder Kazi Abul Mansur (Deputy Editor-Pratidiner Sangbad) has been selected as president and Golam Maula Murad (Bureau Chief-Baishakhi TV) as general secretary. 

The committee was formed for a three-year term with the direct support of members present at a special general meeting of CRF held at the Abdul Khalek Auditorium of the Chattogram Press Club on this noon.

The committee includes Aliur Rahman, executive editor of Purbabarata, as senior vice-president; Hasan Mukul, bureau chief of Daily Dinkal, as vice-president; Mohammad Ali, former senior reporter of Manabkantha, as joint secretary; Saifullah Chowdhury, senior reporter of Daily Purbadesh, as finance secretary; Monirul Islam Parvez, staff reporter of ATN News, as sports and cultural secretary; Tanvir Ahmed, special correspondent of CHD News, as organizing secretary; Abul Kashem Saroj, news editor of Chattogram News, as publicity and publication secretary; Md Hasan Murad, deputy bureau chief of Aajkal Khabor, as office secretary; and Md Gias Uddin, staff reporter of Bangla TV, as international and information technology affairs secretary.

Besides, four executive members of the committee have been nominated. They are Kamrul Huda, editor of News Garden; Sajal Kanti Chowdhury, special correspondent of Commercial Times; Mohan Mintu, editor of Khas Khabar News; and Mujahidul Islam, executive editor of Daily Samar.

In the meeting, President Kazi Abul Mansur said, “CRF is a beloved organization of professional journalists. We want to move forward with those who dreamed of this organization at the beginning and those who are thinking about its future.”

The newly formed committee and members paid a courtesy visit to Jahedul Karim Kochi, Member Secretary of the Chattogram Press Club.
