DHAKA, June 1, 2025 (BSS) - The online General Diary (GD) service was launched today in all police stations under the Sylhet Range, aiming to make police services more accessible and faster for the people.

"Bangladesh Police has introduced the option to file all types of GD online from home as part of its service simplification efforts under the directive of the Chief Adviser," said a press release issued by the Police Headquarters.

The service is currently available in Sylhet Metropolitan Police, Chittagong Metropolitan Police, and all police stations in the Chittagong Range, the release added.

Earlier, only GDs related to loss or receipt could be filed online. With today's launch, the service has become available in all police stations across the Sylhet Range.

The service will be expanded to other ranges and metropolitan areas in phases.

To access the service, users can download the 'Online GD' app from the Google Play Store and register. Registration is required only once.

Anyone facing difficulty in registering or filing an online GD is requested to contact the hotline at 01320001428.
