CHATTOGRAM, June 01, 2025 (BSS) - Police arrested six snatchers during a raid at the Asian Housing area under Panchlaish Thana in the city early this morning.

The detainees have been identified as Mir Md. Hasan, 23, Nur Mohammad Kalu, 31, Md. Sohel, 26, Md. Rajib Hossain Raju, 30, Mohammad Ali, 32 and Md. Rubel Hossain alias Samad, 20, all residents of Panchlaish Thana.

According to the Duty Officer of Panchlaish Thana, the raid was conducted at around 1:30 am at an abandoned building in the area.

Police recovered several locally made sharp weapons during the operation, including a wooden-handled knife, an iron cutter, a bicycle chain, cutter pliers, a hammer, two knives and a paper cutter.

A case has been filed against the six individuals under the Robbery and Arms Act and they have been sent to court for legal proceedings.
