3 held with ganja, phensedyl in Lalmonirhat, Rangpur

RANGPUR, June 1, 2025 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 today arrested 
three suspected drug peddlers along with 25 kgs of ganja, 99 bottles of 
phensedyl and an ambulance in two separate raids from different places in 
Lalmonirhat and Rangpur districts. 
 
Acting on a tip-off, an operational team of RAB-13 seized 25 kgs of smuggled 
ganja in abandoned condition from Purbo Sardubi village of Barokhata union of 
Hatibandha police station in Lalmonirhat district at 3:45 am today, a press 
release said. 
 
In another raid, the same operational team of RAB-13 seized 99 bottles of 
smuggled phensedyl and an ambulance from Burirhat Bazar in Ward No 6 of 
Porshuram metropolitan police station in Rangpur city at 6 am and arrested 
three people. 
 
The detainees are Md Rezaul, 36, of Raj Ballabh village and Mominur Islam, 
38, of Purbo Ecchhlee village under Gangachara upazila and Jummon Gazi, 34, 
of the Medical East Gate area in Rangpur metropolis. 
 

The elite force has handed over the seized drugs and the arrested people to 
the concerned police stations for further legal action, the release further 
said.
