NILPHAMARI, June 2, 2025 (BSS) - The distribution of rice under Vulnerable Group Feeding (VGF) programme ahead of the holy Eid-ul-Azha has started in Nilphamari municipality.

Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Nairuzzaman inaugurated the distribution programme on the premises of the municipality this morning as the chief guest.

Administrator of the municipality and Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Md. Saidul Islam, Chief Executive Officer of the District Council Dipankar Roy, District BNP President A.K.M. Alamgir Sarkar, Municipality Executive Engineer Tariq Reza, District Mohiladal President Tasnim Fauzia Opel, among others, were present.

Municipal administrator Md. Saidul Islam said that 46.210 metric tons of rice have been distributed among 4,621 underprivileged families in nine wards of the municipality. Each family received 10 kg of rice.
