BHOLA, June 3, 2025 (BSS) - The joint force today arrested two members of 'Siraj Gang' with three firearms, live ammunition and equipment used for manufacturing weapons at Daulatkhan Upazila in the district.
 
The detainees, identified as Mohammad Shahid, 48, and Mohammad Shahabuddin, 45, both are residents of Ward No. 4 at Paschim Joynagar village under Dakshin Joynagar Union.

Acting on a tip-off, members of the Coast Guard South Zone, with support from local police, carried out a raid near Khayerhat Bazar in the upazila, said Coast Guard official at a press briefing. 

During the operation, they apprehended the suspects and recovered three locally made firearms, weapon-making tools, four rounds of .22 long rifle ammunition, five cartridges and two sharp weapons.

At a press briefing, Lieutenant Commander Rifat Ahmed, Staff Officer (Operations) of Coast Guard South Zone, confirmed that the arrested individuals were handed over to Daulatkhan Police Station along with the seized arms and ammunition for further legal action.
