CHATTOGRAM, June 3, 2025 (BSS)- Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have arrested a 
fugitive accused, who was sentenced for raping in the city's Khulshi area on 
November 24, 2019, from city's CRB area last night.

The arrested was Shafiqul Islam Sakib, 26, son of Mofizur Rahman, of the 
city's Chawkbazar area, RAB confirmed through a press release this afternoon. 

Acting on a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a raid in the area 
and nabbed Sakib, one of the main accused in the case. 

Later, he was handed over to the concerned police station through the legal 
procedures, the sources added.
