KISHOREGANJ, June 4, 2025 (BSS) - A man drowned in a river at Char Hajipur village of Jinari union under Hossainpur upazila of the district on Tuesday evening.

The deceased was Kabir Khan, son of late Habibur Khan of the same area.

Kabir was returning home from a nearby cattle market taking a cow by boat and suddenly the cow jumped into the river. To rescue the cow, Kabir also jumped into the river and drowned.

Later, locals rescued him and took to Hossainpur Upazila Health Complex where the on duty doctor declared him dead.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Hossainpur Police Station Maruf Hossain confirmed the matter.
