MANIKGANJ, Aug, 5, 2025 (BSS) - A week long Tree Fair ended in Manikganj yesterday (Monday) at the Manikganj Government High School Play Ground.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Manikganj Dr Manwar Hossein Malla attended the concluding function of the tree fair as the chief guest. 

Additional Deputy Director of Agriculture Extension (DAE) Dr. Momtaj Sultana and representatives of different government and non-government organizations and students,  among others, were present at the function with Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Mohammad Atiqul Mamun  in the chair.   

 Dr Manwar urged the people to plant more saplings of wood, fruit and medicinal for maintaining environmental balance.    

Other speakers said tree plantation will boost economy of the country alongside protecting environment. 

The prizes and certificates were distributed among the best stall and saplings distributors in the fair.
