7 members of easy bike theft gang held in Munshiganj

MUNSHIGANJ, Aug 11, 2025 (BSS) - Police have arrested seven members of an 
inter-district easy bike snatching gang with six easy bikes from different 
areas of the district. 

The arrested are Rubel Abdullah, 32, Md. Jamal Hossain, 40, Imran Hossain, 
45, Md. Hridoy Sheikh, 25, Palash Pathan, 35, Md. Bidhan, 47, and Md. Suman, 
38. 

Munshiganj Superintendent of Police (SP) Muhammad Shamsul Alam Sarkar said 
this at a press conference at the SP's conference room on Monday.

On information, Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested Rubel, Jamal Hossain 
and Imran from Patabhog area of Srinagar Police Station on Sunday. 

Later, according to their confessions, Hridoy Sheikh, Palash Pathan and Md. 
Bidhan were arrested along with two easy bikes from different areas of 
Srinagar upazila. 

A raid was conducted at a garage in Keraniganj area of Dhaka district and the 
owner of the garage, Md. Suman was arrested with four stolen easy bikes and 
two auto-rickshaw chassis, the SP said at the press conference.

The easy bike snatching gang had been involved in kidnapping and killing easy 
bike drivers for a long time.
