SHERPUR, Aug 16, 2025 (BSS) - An elderly man was killed in a road accident at Julgaon area under Jhenaigati upazila of the district this morning.

The deceased was identified as Ashraf Ali, 80, a resident of the same area.

The accident took place around 11 am on the Jhenaigati-Sherpur road when a bus ran over pedestrian Ashraf Ali, leaving him dead on the spot, said Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Jhenaigati Police Station Al Amin.
