NARAIL, Aug 18, 2025 (BSS) - A day-long free eye camp was held at Sharif Atiar Rahman Smriti Parishad office in Narail today. 

Sharif Atiar Rahman Smriti Parishad, the friend hollos foundation and Khulna BNSB eye hospital have jointly organized the camp. 

Deputy Commissioner Sharmin Akhter Jahan inaugurated the eye camp as the chief guest. 

Civil Surgeon Dr. Abdur Rashid, District BNP General Secretary Md. Monirul Islam, former Chairman of Sadar Upazila Parishad Bir Muktijoddha Sharif Humayun Kabir, BNP leader Tabibur Rahman Monu Jamaddar, President of Sharif Atiar Rahman Smriti Parishad Bir Muktijoddha Advocate SA Matin, Sharif Atiar Rahman's eldest son, former Principal of Satkhira Medical College, Dr. Sharif Jahangir Atiq Prince, youngst son Dr. Sharif Shamim Atiq, Khulna BNSB Eye Hospital Doctor Asif Hasan and Dr. Jobair Rial, former General Secretary of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society Narail Unit Kazi Ismail Hossain Liton among others, were present.

About 1,500 eye patients were given free eye treatment. Of them, 50 patients underwent cataract operation.
