MAGURA, Sept 2, 2025 (BSS) – The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) today observed its 47th founding anniversary in Magura with a tree plantation, sapling distribution, and fish fry release programme.

The Chhatra Dal unit of Government Hossain Shaheed Suhrawardy College organised the event.

Alhaj Monowar Hossain Khan, member secretary of Magura District BNP, inaugurated the programme on the college campus around 11:30 am.

College Principal Professor Rezvi Jaman attended as special guest, while leaders and activists of Jubo Dal, Swechchhasebak Dal, Krishak Dal, and Chhatra Dal joined the programme.

Speaking on the occasion, Monowar Hossain Khan said, “Late President Ziaur Rahman, founder of BNP, had always encouraged tree plantation. Today’s initiative is a tribute to his memory. This is not a showpiece programme but a sincere effort for environmental conservation and public welfare.”

As part of the day’s activities, tree saplings were planted on the college premises and fish fry were released into the Nabaganga River.
