CUMILLA, Sept 2, 2025 (BSS) - A housewife died from electrocution at Kamalkandi Panchkitta village under Muradnagar upazila of the district this afternoon.

The deceased was Baby Begum, 50, wife of Murshid Mia of the village.

Baby Begum got electrocuted while she was removing a tree branch that was connected with an electric line.

She was taken to Muradnagar Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctor declared her dead. 

Muradnagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Zahidur Rahman confirmed the matter.
