Two restaurants fined Tk 25,000 in Munshiganj

MUNSHIGANJ, Sept 2, 2025 (BSS) - The Department of National Consumer Rights Protection today fined two restaurants Tk 25,000 in Gozaria upazila of Munshiganj for preparing food in unhygienic condition.

A mobile court led by Asif Al Azad, assistant director of the Munshiganj district office of the Department of National Consumer Rights Protection, conducted drives in the Baluakandi and Bhoberchar Bus Stand areas this afternoon.

During the drive, Abdul Aziz, manager of Night Moon Hotel and Restaurant in Baluakandi, was fined Tk 15,000, while Tarikul Islam, owner of Bangla Restaurant near Bhoberchar Bus Stand, was fined Tk 10,000 for preparing and storing food in an unhygienic environment.

Sanitary Inspector Farhana Khan of Gozaria upazila was also present during the drive.
