Adequate publicity stressed for implementation of 'Natun Kuri' competition

RANGPUR, Sept 2, 2025 (BSS) - Officials and stakeholders at a meeting stressed adequate publicity for the successful implementation of Bangladesh Television's 'Natun Kuri (New Bud)-2025' competition.

The Rangpur District Administration organised the meeting at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner this afternoon.

Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Rabiul Faisal presided over the meeting, moderated by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md Ramiz Alam.

Government officials, primary school headmasters, cultural figures and journalists were present at the event.

Addressing the event, the Deputy Commissioner said that 'Natun Kuri' is a medium for exploring the talents of children and adolescents at the national level.

For this, extensive publicity is needed to bring talented artists from remote areas of the country to the national level.

"As part of this, the Rangpur District Administration is going to implement a publicity campaign on Facebook pages, including setting up billboards at various places," he said.

He emphasized increasing publicity about 'Natun Kuri' through all upazilas and primary education officers as well as head teachers of primary schools.

He also assured that the proposals of the participants would be sent to the Bangladesh Television Authority.

He called on all concerned to come forward for the creative development of children through 'Natun Kuri'.

The meeting informed that the regional selection of Bangladesh Television's 'Natun Kuri-2025' competition in Rangpur division will continue from September 11 to September 18, 2025.

Applicants from Rangpur, Kurigram, Lalmonirhat, Nilphamari and Gaibandha districts included in Rangpur-1 region will participate in the selection phase at Rangpur Shilpakala Academy auditorium.

Competitors from Dinajpur, Thakurgaon and Panchagarh districts included in Rangpur-2 region will participate in the selection phase at Dinajpur Shilpakala Academy auditorium.

All the contestants who receive 'Yes' cards in the regional selection will have to participate in the divisional selection phase at the Divisional Shilpakala Academy, which will continue from September 23 to 28 next.

The application process for the competition will continue until September 5 next. Application forms are being collected from the BTV website.
