Ringleader of PSC non-cadre job exam fraud gang held

DHAKA, Aug 3, 2025 (BSS) - The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has arrested a ringleader of PSC non-cadre job exam fraud gang from Jamalpur district.
 
The arrested has been identified as Matiur Rahman , 32 , son of Md. Nasir Uddin, a resident of Mondalbari Noar Para, Kajla, under Islampur Police Station in Jamalpur district.
 
A squad of Cyber ??Police Center (CPC) of the CID arrested Matiur from Melandaha Thana area of ??Jamalpur district with two mobile phone sets, one laptop on Tuesday.
 
A case was filed with Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) by Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) in this connection.

Special Superintendent of Police (Media), CID, Dhaka, Jasim Uddin Khan confirmed that the operation is ongoing to identify and arrest other accused of the gang.
 
The organized scam used to extort money from ordinary job seekers in the name of giving 90% common suggestions in the job exams of various non-cadre job candidates of the PSC.
 
The fraudsters are spreading the sure suggestion before the recruitment exams for various posts of PSC (non-cadre) through social media, especially on the Facebook page.
 
As a result, on the one hand, ordinary job seekers were being cheated; on the other hand, the reputation of the BPSC was being tarnished.
 
When the matter came to their attention, the PSC assistant filed a complaint with the Cyber ??Police Center (CPC), CID on September 1 in 2025. 
 
Considering the importance of the matter, the CID started an investigation into the matter.
 
With the help of modern information technology, the ringleader of the fraud gang Matiur was identified and arrested with the help of CID Jamalpur and District Police.
