HABIGANJ, Sept 3, 2025 (BSS) - The Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat Habiganj district branch has said tens of thousands of people will gather in the procession of Eid-e-Miladunnabi (PBUH) on September 6 next.

President of the organization Alhaj Md. Rais Mia said this while briefing the newsmen at the organization's office premises here last night.

The procession will start from Chowdhury Bazar area of the district town at 10 am, he said, adding: "Everyone's cooperation is needed to celebrate the procession peacefully."

Deputy Commissioner of the district and the police administration have already assured them of all possible cooperation, he continued. 

Rais Mia said that all types of DJ have been banned from playing in the procession this time. 

General Secretary Maulana Kazi AA Jalil, Vice-President Principal Golam Sarwar Alam, Assistant General Secretary Hafez Ebadul Haque Chowdhury, Organising Secretary Maulana Abu Tayyab Mojahidi and Assistant Organiser Haji Mofizur Rahman Titu were present, among others, at the press conference.
