LALMONIRHAT, Sept 4, 2025 (BSS) - A schoolboy was killed in a road accident in the Dighirhat area under Hatibandha upazila of the district on Wednesday evening.

The deceased was Ismam Islam, 12, son of Nur Islam, a resident of Sarsagudam Singimari area of the upazila and a sixth-grade student of Hatibandha Sahar Uddin Sarkar Government Model High School.

The accident occurred when a Dhaka-bound bus ran over him, leaving him dead on the spot.

Sub-inspector of Hatibandha Police Station Sanjay confirmed the matter.
