RANGPUR, Sept 6, 2025 (BSS) - The holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi, marking the birth and demise anniversary of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SM), was observed in the city today with due religious fervor and solemnity, amidst a renewed call to follow the ideals of the world's greatest man, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). 

Islamic Foundation, District Model Mosque and Islamic Cultural Center, Ahle Sunnat Wale Jamaat and Mashaikhe Tariqat, Gausia Committee Bangladesh, Nasirabad Ekramia Mahbubia and Nasirabad Darbar Sharif, Barkotia Darbar Sharif, Islami Chhatra Shibir and different mosque authorities chalked out programmes.
 
These organisations brought out colorful Eid-e-Miladunnabi processions on the city streets and organised discussions marking the day.
 
The Divisional Office of Islamic Foundation organised recitation from the Holy Quran followed by milad mahfil and offering special munajats and 
discussion in the city.
 
District Shishu Academy organised competitions on essay writing, Hamd and Naat-e-Rasul for children and distributed prizes among the winners in a function held at its auditorium.
 
Later, a discussion was arranged at the Public Library ground in the city with Peer Saheb of Barkotia Durbar Sharif Peer-e Tariakt Shah Ahammad Sayeed Ahammadi in the chair.
 
Peer Saheb of Keranipara Nasirabad Darbar Sharif Awlade Rasul (PBUH) Hazrat Syed Shamshul Haque Babu Huzur attended the discussion as the chief guest.
 
Khatib of Rangpur Court Jam-e-Mosque Alhaj Moulana Md Hafizul Islam, Imam of Nasirabad Ekramia Jam-e-Mosque Hafez Moulana Mohammad Tazul Islam, Alhaj Md Akbar Ali and Shah Sufi Md Zaker Ali also addressed the event.
 
Later, Shaykhul Hadith Allama Dr Mohammad Afzal Hussaine conducted a milad and doa mehfil and offered munajats seeking continuous peace and prosperity of the country and its people and the Muslim Ummah and humanity as a whole.
 
Besides, a milad and doa mehfil followed by discussion and offering special munajats were arranged at District Model Mosque and Islamic Cultural Center here marking the Holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi.
 
The speakers said that those who followed the example of the Prophet (PBUH) have been transformed into golden people and the Almighty Allah will grant them Jannatul Firdous in eternal life. 
 
They called for following the ideals of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SM), who brought the light of purity to the entire mankind. 
 
Also, on the occasion of the day, Quran recitation, milad mahfils, discussions on Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) and special prayers were 
organised in all the mosques in the city.
