CHATTOGRAM, Sept 6, 2025 (BSS)- Two people were killed and four others injured in separate incidents during a procession of Jashan-e-Julus, marking the celebration of Eid-e-Miladunnabi, in the city's Muradpur area on Saturday noon. 

 The deceased were identified as Ayub Ali, 60, from Patiya upazila, and Saiful Islam, 13, from the city's Kalamia Bazar area under Bakalia thana.
 
The injured were promptly taken to Chattogram Medical Collegeand Hospital (CMCH), where doctors confirmed two of them deaths. 

A member of the Anjuman-e-Rahmania Trust medical team, Aminur Rahman, stated that several people collapsed in the crowd due to the heat and some were trampled in the process. They managed to rescue six people, but unfortunately, two of them did not survive.

Four other injured individuals are undergoing treatment at the CMCH.

Sohel Rana, in-charge of Chattogram Medical College Police Outpost, reported that six injured people were brought to the hospital, where two were declared dead by the duty doctors. Mahfuz, 35, a critical patient, is currently receiving treatment in the ICU at the hospital, he added.

It was reported that hundreds of people participated in the Miladunnabi rally, which began at 9am today from Alamgir Khankah Sharif.
