Motorcyclists must wear helmets: KMP commissioner

KHULNA, Sept 17, 2025 (BSS) - Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) Commissioner Md. Zulfiqar Ali Haider has directed that both motorcycle riders and pillion passengers must wear helmets.

He called upon all concerned to work together sincerely to maintain law and order in Khulna city.

The commissioner gave the directive today while presiding over the KMP welfare meeting at the multipurpose hall of Boyra Police Lines.

At the beginning of the meeting, progress on previous proposals was reviewed.

The commissioner instructed relevant officers to promptly address the demands raised by members of different police ranks.

He also noted that senior supervising officers are working sincerely to ensure facilities at all levels of KMP.

Expressing gratitude for maintaining cleanliness at the Police Lines, he advised police personnel to eat seasonal fruits to stay healthy and boost immunity.

Acting Superintendent of Khulna Divisional Police Hospital Dr.
Syed AKM Karim provided important health tips, urging members to remain cautious against chikungunya and dengue and seek medical attention without delay if symptoms appear.

The commissioner also honored two retiring police members, presenting them with flowers, crests, and gifts, while wishing them good health and long life.

Additional Police Commissioners Abu Raihan Md. Saleh, and Md. Rashidul Islam Khan, along with other senior officers, was present at the event.
