BAGERHAT, Sept 20, 2025 (BSS) - Members of the Coast Guard have seized a huge quantity of Indian medicines worth Tk 1.20 crore evading customs duty in Shyamnagar upazila in Satkhira district.
 
This information was given by Lieutenant Commander Md. Muntasir Ibne Mohsin, Media Officer of Coast Guard West Zone, this morning.

Based on secret information that some people would bring a huge quantity of medicines from India to Bangladesh, a special team from Coast Guard Station Kaikhali conducted a drive in Mirgang and adjacent areas under Shyamnagar Police Station, said the Media Officer of Coast Guard West Zone, this morning.

During the operation, a huge quantity of Indian medicines worth Taka 1.20 crore, evading customs duty, were seized from the area, he said.

He also said that the Coast Guard will continue such operations in the future to prevent smuggling.
