Man arrested with 83 pieces of Yaba tablets in Munshiganj

MUNSHIGANJ, Sept 20, 2025 (BSS) – Detective Branch of Police (DB) arrested a man with 83 pieces of Yaba tablets last night (Friday) in Munshiganj district.

The arrested was identified as Md. Arif Sheikh (37), son of Abdur Rahim Sheikh of Goalghurni village in the Sadar Upazila.

Officer-in-charge of Munshiganj Sadar thana M Saiful Alam said, “On a tip-off, a team of law enforcement agencies conducted a drive in the Goalghurni area of the sadar upazila. During the drive, the drug-peddler was arrested”.

“A case has been filed against the arrested in this connection”, he added.
