BARGUNA, Oct 11, 2025(BSS) -The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) will organize its 185th public hearing tomorrow (Sunday) at Barguna Zila Shilpakola Academy here.

The event aimed to raise public awareness, improve service delivery in government and autonomous institutions, prevent harassment of service recipients, and combat corruption.

ACC Commissioner (Investigation) Miah Muhammad Ali Akbar Azizi is expected to attend the event as the chief guest, while its Director General (Prevention) Md Akhter Hossain will join as special guest.

During the public hearing, aggrieved citizens who have faced harassment or been denied services by various government offices will present their complaints directly to the heads of all government departments in Barguna in front of the Commission.

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) will take immediate action on complaints raised during the hearing to ensure public access to government services and promote integrity, accountability, and ethical conduct among officials.

To encourage active public participation, the ACC has carried out a week-long awareness campaign across Barguna.

The campaign included loudspeaker announcements, poster and leaflet distribution, setting up information booths, collecting complaints, and engaging through various media platforms.

The ACC also urged the members of the civil society, general people and journalists from the print and electronic media to be present at the public hearing to make it a success.
