Tk 7 lakh fined to five establishments by Safe Food Authority in Bhairab

KISHOREGANJ, Oct 11, 2025 (BSS) - The Bangladesh Safe Food Authority today 
fined five business establishments a total of Taka seven lakh during a mobile 
court drive in Bhairab upazila of the district.

The mobile court, led by Senior Judicial Magistrate Ariful Islam, conducted 
the operation in the presence of District Safe Food Officer Md Ashraful Islam 
Talukder.

According to the Safe Food Office, the team fined Rajdhani Bakery at Akbar 
Nagar Taka two lakh for using rotten eggs and preparing cakes in an open 
area. Another Taka two lakh fine was imposed on Idris Ali of Kamalpur for 
producing adulterated baby food, while Bandhan Bakery of the same area was 
fined Taka one lakh for producing uncovered food items without registration.

Moni-Mukta Hotel and Bismillah Hotel were fined Taka one lakh each. Moni-
Mukta Hotel was penalized for storing expired meat in its freezer, and 
Bismillah Hotel for cooking food in an unhygienic environment and having an 
open toilet beside the kitchen.

District Sanitary Inspector Shankar Chandra Pal, along with representatives 
from the police, RAB, and Ansar, accompanied the mobile court during the 
drive.
