CHATTOGRAM, Oct 12, 2025 (BSS) – The Rapid Action Battalion has arrested a fugitive accused in the Maulvir Pukurpar area under Chandgaon Police Station.

The arrestee has been identified as Md Faruk, 24, a resident of Riaz Uddin Ukil House in the Chandgaon Police Station area.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB conducted a raid in the area on Saturday afternoon and arrested Faruk, said RAB-7 Assistant Director (Media) ARM Mozaffar Hossain this afternoon.

The arrestee was handed over to the respective police station.

Faruk is an accused in a case filed over the murder of Zubair Uddin Babu, who was killed during a clash in the Sports Zone area under Chandgaon Police Station on September 20, 2024.
