Govt distributes livestock among small ethnic groups in Netrokona

NETROKONA, Oct 14, 2025 (BSS) – The government today distributed goats among small ethnic group of people to improve the socio-economic and living standards of the backward people living in the plain land of Sadar upazila.

Under the Integrated Livestock Development Project, 11 farmers received two goats each. 

Upazila Livestock Officer Dr. Arifa Parvin Ripa distributed the cattle among the small ethnic group of people living in the plain land of Challisha, Rouha and Maugati unions of Sadar upazila this afternoon at a function organised by Sadar Upazila Livestock Department and Veterinary Hospital.

Dr. Arifa Parveen Ripa told BSS, "These cattle have been distributed to improve the quality of life of the backward small ethnic groups living in the plains. Before this, we have also distributed chickens, chicks, medicines, vaccines, vitamin premix, cows, cow houses, cow grain food, ducklings-duck houses, food vitamins, among them." 

Among others, ADLO Sadiqul Islam, Veterinary Surgeon Dr. Saad As Sadiq, and members of the Tribal Committee were present.
