SATKHIRA, Oct 15, 2025 (BSS) - Vegetables seeds and chemical fertilizers were distributed today among 690 small and marginal farmers of Tala upazila of the district under agriculture incentive programme.

The seed and fertilizer were distributed among the farmers with the aim of increasing vegetable production in the area.
 
Assistant Deputy Director of the Satkhira District Agriculture Department Krishna Rani Mandal distributed the incentives among the farmers at a function held on the premises at the upazila parishad on Wednesday morning at the initiative of the Upazila Agricultural Extension Department. 

Presided over by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Deepa Rani Sarkar, it was addressed, among others, by Upazila Senior Agriculture Officer Hajira Khatun, Upazila Project Implementation Officer Md. Ashraf Hossain, Upazila Secondary Academic Supervisor Prabhas Kumar Das, Upazila Jubo Dal Joint Convener Saidur Rahman, Tala Press Club President M.A. Hakim, Upazila Water Committee General Secretary Mir Zillur Rahman and Citizens Committee General Secretary Shafiqul Islam.
