BGB seizes various smuggled goods in Satkhira

SATKHIRA, Oct 18, 2025 (BSS) - Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) during a drive seized various smuggled goods from different border areas of the district today.

The seized smuggled goods include 135 bottles of Indian narcotic syrup, 6 bottles of liquor, various types of medicines and sarees. The seized goods were recovered from different border area under Padmashakhra, Jhaudanga Ghona, Madra, Hiljadi and Bankal check post BOP in Sadar and Kalaroa Police Stations on Saturday.

The total market value of the seized goods is Taka 10.15 lakh. 

Satkhira BGB-33 Battalion Commander Lt. Col. Md. Ashraful Haque confirmed the matter and said that the seized Indian goods have been handed over to Satkhira Customs. 

In addition, the seized narcotics have been deposited in the BGB store for public destruction after filing a general diary with the Satkhira Narcotics Control Department.
