KHULNA, Nov 4, 2025 (BSS) – Following the announcement of party nominations, BNP leaders and activists have taken to the streets with joyous rallies across the district.

In addition to the rallies, BNP leaders and activists organized doa mahfils and meetings, seeking votes for the party’s “sheaf of paddy” symbol.

Khulna has six parliamentary constituencies. For the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election, BNP on Monday announced candidates for five of the six seats, leaving one pending.

The nominated candidates are former MP Nazrul Islam Manju for Khulna-2; Rokibul Islam Bokul for Khulna-3; Azizul Bari Helal for Khulna-4; Ali Asgor Lobi for Khulna-5; and Monirul Hasan Bappy, acting member secretary of Khulna district BNP, for Khulna-6. The nominee for Khulna-1 constituency is yet to be declared.

Expressing his gratitude, Nazrul Islam Manju said, “I am grateful to acting Chairman Tarique Rahman and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia for their confidence and recognition.”

In Khulna-4, the nomination was contested between BNP information affairs secretary Azizul Bari Helal and UK BNP’s senior joint secretary Parvez Mallik, but the party ultimately nominated Helal.

Azizul Bari Helal said, “It is a great honor to represent my birthplace again with the symbol of the sheaf of paddy.”
Former MP and ex-BCB president Ali Asgor Lobi has been nominated for the Khulna-5 constituency.
