RAJBARI, Nov 28, 2025 (BSS) - A significant new aesthetic installation named
'Jolokabya' was inaugurated on the banks of Padma River in the Gozardabazar
area of Rajbari district.

The new structure, funded by the Zila Parishad, was officially opened on
Thursday by Deputy Commissioner Sultana Akter.

Jolokabya is described as more than just an installation; it represents a
unique coordination of nature, aesthetics, and public welfare. Situated along
the bank of the Padma River, it has already become a promising new
destination, offering relief, recreation, and potential for the local people.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by several senior officials, including
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Tarif Ul Hasan and Additional Deputy
Commissioner (General) Shankar Chandra Baidya.

Sultana Akter emphasized that this project is part of a larger mission to
transform Rajbari into a district that is beautiful, clean, and advanced in
terms of quality of life.

She stated that Jolokabya is an important addition to this ongoing progress.

Both the District Administration and the Zila Parishad are jointly
implementing various projects aimed at developing the Padma banks into
aesthetically pleasing, healthy and suitable spaces for people to spend time.

Dr. Mahmudul Hasan, chief executive officer (CEO) of the Zila Parishad, noted
that the construction of Jolokabya will not only increase recreational
opportunities for local residents but also attract outside tourists to the
area.

This increased visitation is expected to have a positive impact on the local
economy, he added.

The local community has widely welcomed the establishment. Rakibul Islam, a
local resident and businessman, expressed gratitude that the government
fulfilled their long-standing desire for an aesthetic public recreation
center in the Gozardabazar area of the Padma bank.

He highlighted the project as evidence of the District Administration and
Zila Parishad's responsible commitment to continuous work for the betterment
of people's lives.

The populace believed that this successful coordination of development,
beauty, and public service will further accelerate the humanitarian progress
of the Rajbari district.
