Doa mahfil held in Bagerhat seeking Khaleda Zia's recovery

BAGERHAT, Dec 3, 2025 (BSS) - A doa mahfil and discussion meeting was held at Kaber Battala in Rakhalgachi Union of Bagerhat Sadar Upazila this evening, seeking the speedy recovery of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.

The programme was presided over by Rakhalgachi Union BNP President Fakir Al Mamun. Bagerhat District BNP Convener Engineer AT M Akram Hossain Talim attended as the chief guest, while former district BNP President MA Salam was present as the special guest.

Following the discussion, Hafez Maulana Nazrul Islam offered prayers for Khaleda Zia's recovery.

Speakers said Khaleda Zia is now receiving treatment at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka, where her condition remains critical. They noted that prayers are being offered nationwide, while milad and charity programmes will continue across Bagerhat until she recovers.

District BNP Member Secretary and freedom fighter Mozaffar Rahman Alam, Joint Convener Khadem Neyamul Nasir Alap, Joint Secretary Shamsher Ali Mohan, and Bagerhat Sadar Upazila BNP President Syed Nasir Ahmed Malek along with activists from district and upazila BNP units and affiliated bodies were present at programme.
