BAGERHAT, Dec 12, 2025 (BSS) - A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a passenger bus on the Mongla-Khulna Highway on Thursday.

The accident occurred around noon at the entrance of College Road near Digaraj Bazar in Mongla upazila.

The deceased was identified as Tapas Kumar Biswas, 45, who worked as a driver at the Mongla EPZ.

Police and witnesses said a passenger bus named Super Deluxe left Rupsha in Khulna for Mongla in the morning. As it reached the College Road point at Digaraj Bazar, the bus rammed pedestrian Tapas Kumar, killing him on the spot.
