Student killed in truck collision in Shyampur

DHAKA, Jan 26, 2026 (BSS) – A student was killed after a speeding truck hit his motorbike in the West Jurain area of Shyampur in the capital this morning.

The deceased was identified as Tajwar Rahman Ark, 22, son of Gazi Hafizur Rahman, a resident of East Rampura.

According to police, the accident occurred around 7 am in front of a factory in West Jurain when a truck rammed into Ark’s motorcycle.

He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), where doctors declared him dead.

Shyampur Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Mohammad Azizul Haque confirmed the death.
