HABIGANJ, Jan 26, 2026 (BSS) - Members of the Bangladesh Army arrested three individuals along with a large quantity of weapons during raids conducted in Baniachang upazila of the district last night.

The arrested persons were identified as Rajib Mia of Prathom Rekh village in Baniachang upazila and Rocky Mia and Resalat Ali Khan of the Barabazar area.

According to army sources, the weapons recovered in separate raids included three air guns, one double-barrelled gun, 24 rounds of cartridges, 2,150 pieces of lead ammunition, 17 locally made weapons and one baseball bat.

After the arrests, the accused along with the seized weapons were handed over to Baniachang Police Station for further legal proceedings.

Confirming the matter, Officer-in-Charge of Baniachang Police Station Sharif Ahmed said that legal action was being taken against the arrested individuals.
