RAB seizes huge cache of lethal weapons in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI, Feb 8, 2026 (BSS) – The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) recovered a large cache of lethal weapons from the Boikuri Sardarpara area of Bagmara here.

A team of RAB-5’s Rajshahi CPSP unit conducted a raid in the area around 11:30 pm on Friday and recovered 56 locally made weapons that had been abandoned, according to a press release issued today.

The seized items included 16 knives, four machetes, four sickles and 32 axes. 

The recovered weapons were later handed over to Bagmara Police Station for necessary legal action.

The press release also said RAB-5’s intelligence activities are continuing to identify and arrest those involved in the incident.
