KHULNA, Feb 22, 2026 (BSS) - To monitor the prices of essential commodities during the holy month of Ramadan, the Khulna City Corporation (KCC) today conducted inspections at Boyra Bazar and the kitchen market adjacent to New Market in the city.

A KCC inspection team visited the markets in the morning and inquired about the prevailing prices of daily essentials from traders.

During the visit, traders were urged not to increase the prices of essential commodities unnecessarily during Ramadan and to conduct business with honesty and transparency.

The team also instructed shopkeepers to display price lists of all products at visible places in their shops. The authorities said regular market monitoring would continue to safeguard consumers’ interests.
