Police handover 41 recovered mobile phones to owners

RAJSHAHI, March 16, 2026 (BSS)- District police handed over 41 recovered mobile phones to their rightful owners at the conference room of the Superintendent of Police (SP) Office here today.

Sources said 41 individuals who had lost their mobile phones filed General Diaries (GD) at eight police stations in Rajshahi district at different times. 

Following these complaints, the ICT branch of the SP office recovered 42 mobile phones.

SP Naimul Hasan and Additional SPs Shariful Islam, Mainul Islam and Sabina Yasmin were present on the occasion.

Among the 41 mobile phones handed over, the brands included: Xiaomi eight, Vivo seven, Realme, Infinix and Tecno four each, Itel and Oppo three each, Symphony and Motorola two each and OnePlus, Nothing, Samsung and Honor one each.

In addition, Tk 42,000 was recovered through bKash and returned to its rightful owner.
 
Speaking at the event, SP Naimul Hasan said that they feel delighted to return the recovered phones to their rightful owners and expressed hope that the scope of such successful efforts would expand further in the future.
 
The mobile phone owners expressed great happiness after getting back their lost phones. 
They highly appreciated the police for this commendable initiative and expressed their belief that the district police will continue to stand beside the people and provide uninterrupted services in the future.
