JASHORE, March 29, 2026 (BSS) - A petrol pump in Jashore has been fined Tk 40,000 by a mobile court for deliberately halting fuel sales despite having sufficient stock.

The fine was imposed on the "Jatrik Pump" during an inspection in RN Road area of Sadar Upazila by Assistant Commissioner (Land) Shamim Hossain.

The pump authorities had kept the station closed, causing long queues, while 815 litres of petrol were found in the underground tanks.

The mobile court also ordered the immediate reopening of the pump and fuel supply to waiting customers.
