SATKHIRA, April 13, 2026 (BSS) - A tragic road accident claimed the life of a 
three-year old boy in Sadar upazila of the district on Monday morning.

The deceased, Omar Faruk was the son of Arafat Hossain, a resident of 
Dhulihar Sana Para village in the upazila.

According to police and local sources, the accident occurred around 10:30 am 
when a soil-carrying trolley struck the child as he was crossing the road in 
front of his house. 

He died on the spot.

Inspector (Investigation) of Satkhira Sadar Police Station Shafiqul Islam 
confirmed the incident and said that the body was handed over to the victim's 
family after completing legal formalities.
