RAJSHAHI, April 17, 2026 (BSS) - To celebrate Bangla New Year 1433, the 
colorful "Barsoboron Festival and Elegant Poetry Recitation Session" was held 
in Rajshahi. 

The event took place this afternoon at Rabindra-Nazrul Mancha in front of 
Mannujan Government Primary School in the city.

Mahfuzur Rahman Riton, Administrator of Rajshahi City Corporation, joined the 
programme as chief guest. The event was organized by the current metropolitan 
and former district JASAS, Alapon Cultural Academy, and Rajshahi Betar Shilpi 
Sangstha.
 
The program was presided over by Advocate Munshi Abul Kalam Azad, President 
of Rajshahi Betar Shilpi Sangstha and former district JASAS president.
