7 people arrested in Chattogram

CHATTOGRAM, April 30, 2026 (BSS) - Police arrested seven alleged members of a dacoit gang who were preparing for a robbery in the city's Mariners Road under Kotwali police station area around 2 am on Wednesday.

The arrested are Abdul Aziz (26), Md. Arif Hossain (30), Md. Nayan Mia (22), Md. Samir (20), Md. Shahidul Islam (45), also known as Shahid, Md. Shahin (20), and Md. Yasin Hossain (20).

The officer-in-charge of Kotwali police station, Md. Aftab Uddin, confirmed the matter.
