CHATTOGRAM, May 15, 2026 (BSS) - Police has arrested a truck driver with 82 kg of ganja from Mirsarai upazila of the district today.

Police arrested Mashraf Uddin Rahat (19), during a raid on the Dhaka-Chatogram highway, Mirsarai thana OC Farida Yasmin said.

The raid was conducted by Mirsarai thana police by setting up a check post in front of the police station, she said. 
 
Rahat is the son of Abdur Rab from the Sundarpur area of Feni Sadar upazila. During initial interrogation, Rahat said driver of the truck Rakibul Islam Sujan (31) gave him the task to drive the vehicle to Chattogram from Baroirhat area.
 
OC Farida Yasmin stated that a case has been filed against the arrested Rahat and fugitive Sujan under Narcotics Control Act.
